Ways of Giving Back

Donations:

Charitable Donations can be made by cheque mailed to FGWRC or via credit card through:

Tax receipts will be issued upon request for donations of $15 or more.

(FGWRC is currently not accepting clothing/household donations. Thank-you for your consideration. Please click here for additonal resources).

Tribute Gift Program:

The Tribute Gift Program is a wonderful way to honour someone special in your life while making a donation to the Centre. A gift to a friend or loved one in celebration of a birthday, holiday, special event, in appreciation or in remembrance gives twice; once to the celebrant and once to the Centre. Giving a gift to the Centre benefits many women and their families as they participate in programs and services which promote healing and empowerment in their lives. A card will be mailed to the recipient on your behalf. Click here for more information.

Tax receipts will be issued upon request for gifts of $15 or more.

Sharing Your Story of Hope and Healing:

Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre has been an active support to the community since 1983, providing counselling, groups, information, workshops, referrals and other services to women and their children.

There are times when our funders or the media would like to hear the stories and experiences of former clients, participants and members of the community. They usually want to know about the positive impact the Centre has had on you and/or how the support has helped you in your life. We also use these stories when applying for funding every year to keep our services going. Sharing your stories of healing and hope is a great way for you to give back to the Centre.

The Manitoba Legislature Private Member's Statement from Marilyn Brick, MLA St. Norbert shows what impact your voices have in supporting the Centre.

You can share your story anonymously or through interviews with the media or through written letters of support. If you are interested, please contact Colleen, our Public Education Coordinator at 477-1123.
