Centre helps women face mid-life issues: Support groups tackle transitions

Change is inevitable, particularly when it comes to aging. For many, that change can bring with it stress, anxiety and even depression.
The Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre offers programming to help women get through periods of change. Several years ago, volunteer Leigh Morton spearheaded a public education series to help guide women through the transitions they come across during mid-life.
She serves as the facilitator for the open support group, which is free to attend, tackling issues such as self-esteem, body image, relationships and spirituality. Morton runs the group once a week for a span of five weeks several times each year... Click here for the Full Story
