Individual & Group Counselling

Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre provides both Individual Counselling and Group Counselling (Including the Healthy Coping Program) free of charge.

Individual Counselling

There are two main types of individual counselling available:

One-time Counselling

Offered for women who want to connect with a counsellor relatively soon about current issues and/or resources in the community.

Ongoing Counselling

Offered for women who need from 1 – 12 months of support to deal with issues of trauma, domestic violence relationships, childhood abuse, body image, self-esteem, separation & divorce, coping, parenting and other related issues.

Group Counselling

Group counselling sessions involve focusing on issues within a group setting.  The purpose is to connect women with similar experiences to one another.  Group topics have included: self esteem, anger, assertiveness, positive coping and healthy relationships.
